Bank of Hawaii has promoted Steven Johnson to senior vice president and director of legal services from vice president and corporate counsel. Johnson, who also serves as the bank’s privacy officer joined the bank in 2018 and has nearly 30 years experience in banking law, regulatory compliance, consumer lending and risk management; including counsel in the Corporate Law Department of State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Co. and attorney in the Office of the General Counsel at Country Insurance and Financial Services, both in Bloomington, Ill.; and beginning his legal career as an associate with Warner Norcross &Judd LLP in Grand Rapids, Mich.
